Mark partakes in another shared meal at the restored 12th Century St Nicholas’s Albergue. The video then features some pagan symbology found in a Church on the camino.
Mark arrives at Burgos where he stays at a small Albergue run by a secular group of women. Every night a fantastic meal is put on for the pilgrims. Mark feels that when one is getting sick of the camino, little surprises like this happen, that keep one on the way.
There is a great spirit of friendship between pilgrims on the camino. People from all round the world walk this ancient pilgrimage route. In this video Mark joins a shared meal at an Albergue, which ends in pilgrims singing songs from their home countries.
As Mark rests in the ruins of a 11th Century Albergue, he contemplates how many 1,000’s of pilgrims would have walked the camino since the middle ages.
Mark tried keeping up with some French girls and learnt it is best to do the camino at your own pace. Once again viewers get to see inside an Albergue. Mark quotes a nice pilgrims prayer he heard in a church in Los Arcos.
