European Roadtrip Series – Story ideas

My success as a filmmaker has always been determined by the hospitality of locals.
I truly believe the best way to travel is to try, at every opportunity, to meet locals and get advice from them as to what to see and do.

It is a great joy for me to feature local people in my travel videos, to watch people who have never been on camera before, passionately shine! Their video stories are my travel memories. When I think back to locations I have visited, it’s peoples names that evoke my recollections more so than sites and scenery.

So for my next travel venture, visiting Europe in which I will be working with a local Luxembourg filmmaker, I wish to ask my video audience for their story and destination suggestions!

We have a couple of road trip and destination ideas and we would love to hear your thoughts on what we should see and do stories on. Maybe you would even like to feature in a video story yourself?

In June we are planning a road trip through Italy – Lake Como, through Tuscany and down to the Amalfi coast.

We are also planning a UK road trip taking in the entire south coast to Cornwall, then up through Bristol, Bath, exploring Wales onward to Liverpool and Manchester, then heading back down through Oxford to London.

We are also keen to do shorter trips exploring Croatia, Finland and food/wine tours of France – Provence, Bordeaux and the Basque region.

If anyone is interested in being interviewed for a story, or can suggest story ideas, feel free to comment below.
